To ensure seamless integration and direct billing through ChatGPT, we'll need you to grab your ChatGPT API key. Once entered, you don't need to add the key to the extension every time you log in. If you don't have an OpenAI ChatGPT account yet, create one - it's easy! Click the link below and paste in your key. If you do not have any keys, generate one.

To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience with TableMate, it's important to manage your OpenAI API limit and check your billing setup. OpenAI sets a conservative default limit on API usage to prevent unintended high usage, and this limit can affect your tasks in TableMate. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Make sure you have a credit card on file with OpenAI: Payment Methods
2. Check if you're on a pay-as-you-go plan, which is easiest. If you're on a prepaid billing plan, make sure you buy credits at: Billing Overview
3. Check your OpenAI API usage limit: API usage.
4. If necessary, increase the limit to comfortably handle your usage with TableMate.

Taking these steps can help prevent issues accessing OpenAI's GPT and preventing disruptions to your TableMate experience.

Connect Airtable

Now, let's connect Airtable to use the extension across specific bases and workspaces. Select whichever Bases & Workspaces you want to grant access to. We recommend selecting "All Workspaces" to ensure it works across all of you bases.

Rest assured, when our extension connects Airtable with ChatGPT, we don't access, store, look at, or use any of your Airtable fields. Your Airtable data and ChatGPT responses never pass through our servers, except for the IDs of your bases and workspaces, which we use only to manage access.

Chose your bases and workspaces

You're almost there! Now, you'll see a view of your workspaces. Simply expand them and check off the bases you want to give access to Tablemate.

Why do this? This step helps you manage which bases have access to Tablemate, ensuring a secure and organized workflow.

Install Tablemate in the Airtable Marketplace

Now, head over to the Airtable Marketplace using the link we provide, and install Tablemate to the base(s) of your choosing that you've already granted access to. Don't worry, it will automatically connect.
